BAGUIO CITY – A 47-year old security guard was hurt after he was electrocuted while fixing the water hose of the Good Taste restaurant along Raja Matanda St. around 1:30 am Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Ruel Tabaranza Napoles, 47, married, Security Guard, native of Babay, Leyte, and a resident of Apugan-Loakan, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was fixing the water house of their establishment when he accidentally touched one of the live wires of the Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) that caused him to being thrown off inflicting injuries on the different parts of his body and causing unscheduled power interruption in nearby barangays.
He was immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment and was treated for his injuries.
