CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad Benguet – On its aggressive campaign to eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region, seven drug pushers fall in various drug buy-bust operations.

In Baguio City, two drug pushers were nabbed recently. Suspects were identified as Marcelo Mata Quinto aka “macoy”, 21, vendor, native of Pangasinan, and presently residing at Parungao Building, Zamora Street, Baguio City. He was arrested in the afternoon of May 14, 2017 along T. Alonzo Street, Baguio City while in the evening of the following day, Jerald Bulwag Valdez, 24, a resident of Brawer Road, Campo Filipino was arrested along Brawer Road, Campo Filipino, Baguio City. Seized from Quinto were one piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “Shabu and a P500.00 bill buy-bust money while two pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu and P1,000.00 boodle money were seized from Valdez.

Another drug peddlers identified as Ramil Camacho Vendiola aka Oning, 36, porter, resident of Padre Zamora, Baguio City was nabbed at the barangay outpost of Padre Zamora, Baguio City and Gerald Latore Yango, 22, a resident of Lower Rock Quarry, Baguio City was nabbed along Lower Rock Quarry barangay, Baguio City. Both suspects were caught in the night of May 12, 2017. Seized from Vendiola were four heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu placed inside a match box and Marlboro Box; P500.00 buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia while seized from Yango were two heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; P500.00 buy bust money; P500.00 boodle money and a Black Samsung Duos Cellular Phone.

In Benguet, a drug pusher identified as Arnold Tinasa Tage, 45, and a resident of Upper Ambiong, La Trinidad, Benguet was arrested along the waiting shed of Pacdal Circle, Pacdal Barangay, Baguio City in the afternoon of May 15, 2017. Seized were One heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; P2,000.00 boodle money; Php1,000.00 buy-bust money and a Black DTC Cellular phone

In Kalinga, two drug peddlers were arrested on May 13, 2017. Pushers identified as Reyfil Chulisan Lapnawan alias Phil, 25, tricycle driver, and a resident of Purok 2, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga was collared at Purok 7, Sitio Sunrise Village, barangay San Juan, Tabuk City, Kalinga in the afternoon while Cosme Lupao Agnaya was nabbed in Lammawin St., Purok 2, Bulanao Norte,Tabuk City, Kalinga in the evening. Seized from Lapnawan were one heat sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; P1,350.00 buy-bust money, two cherry mobile phone; Coin purse; and a motorcycle with side car while one piece heat sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; P200.00 cash money; and a Samsung cellular phone were seized from Agnaya.

Arrested suspects are now under the custody of the operating units while cases for Violation of RA 9165 known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 were filed against them in court.

All seized and confiscated alleged illegal drugs were turned-over to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office, Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet for laboratory examination.

PRO-COR will continue to hit hard on illegal drugs in the region and more forceful, intensive and unrelenting campaign against the drug pushers is being implemented region wide to clean the region from the ill effects of drugs.
