City officials recently congratulated and commended the Catholic-run St. Louis University (SLU) for placing fourth in the top ten performing schools with five board topnotchers in the August 2023 psychometrician licensure examination.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Arthur Allad-iw, local legislators stated that the feat achieved by SLU again proves that the city continues to be the educational center of the north where it molds professionals with flying colors.
SLU has consistently shown remarkable performance in every licensure examination bringing pride and honor to the city over the past several decades.
Earlier, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 6,133 out of some 8,370 passed the psychometricians licensure examination given by the Board of Psychology in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga recently.
Five SLU graduates had remarkable performances in the psychometrician licensure examination as topnotchers, namely, Precious Shane Pangog Lamag, 6th place with a rating of 88.00 percent; Alleoh Ruiz Estigoy Andres, 9th place with a rating of 87.40 percent; Shaena Kassandra Abalos Aquino, 10th place with a rating of 87.20 percent and Aubrey Lynn Subang Lucido, 10th place with a similar rating of 87.20 percent and Lea Regine Sentinellar Salazar, 10th place with a rating of 87.20 percent.
The PRC also recognized the top 10 Performing Schools in the entire archipelago in the August 2023 psychometrician licensure examination where SLU placed 4th in the said ranking having a passing rate of 92.66 percent with five topnotchers passing the said examination.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the said higher education institution and the five topnotchers for their information, guidance and ready reference.
