SM holds fire prevention seminar for tenants

BAGUIO CITY  – SM City Baguio management recently conducted a fire prevention & safety orientation seminar to its mall tenants, agency personnel and employees to enhance their knowledge on fire safety under the supervision ofBaguio City Police Office (BCPO) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) representatives.

It was followed by a joint security tactical inspection at the mall as part of its commitment in ensuring the safety of its customers and clients. The inspection, spearheaded by Engr. Antolin Paule, Senior Vice President for Engineering and Security, was participated by hundreds of security personnel.

Both security manpower skills along with their equipment were checked, including protocols for emergencies, accidents and alertness. Likewise, agency personnel for janitorial work were also inspected. Apart from the inspection, commendation and awards were also given to employees and guards who turned in money, laptops, cellphones and other valuables to mall patrons. The awardees are SG Genrev Tappol of RJC Security Agency, SG Robert Khael Mariano of RJC Security Agency, SG Benjamin B. Mendillo Jr. of Eagle Matrix Security Agency, LG Charm Mae Apilado of RJC Security Agency, SG Renie Guarino of Side Kick Security Agency, LG Andrea Chag-usen, Sag Melanio Caasi, SG Albert A. Bugtong, and SG Genrev Tappol of RJC Security Agency. These deeds of the security personnel is reflective of SM’s corporate value of honesty and integrity to duty that bespeaks well of the attributes of a good member of SM Security Force.

SM City Baguio mall manager Rona Vida Correa expressed her gratitude to the security and agency personnel for the invaluable service they extend to the mall goers. She also reiterated that customers are the most vital asset of the company therefore security and customer satisfaction should be the heart of each one’s responsibility.

Also present to grace and inspect the security force’s performance are SM’s Senior Assistant Vice President for Customer Relations Service (CRS) Felipe H. Buena, AVP for Customer Relations Service Almus J. Alabe and AVP for Security Food Retail Group Victor Santiago, President of Sidekick Force Security Agency Ronald C. Bahni, NL1 Regional Operations Manager Marc Janssen Pe, Regional Customer Relations Service Manager Reynaldo Jaurigue and PMA Public Affairs Officer, CMO MA7 Lt.Col Reynaldo B. Balido Jr.

The SVP of EDD & Security Affairs Engr. Antolin V. Paule reminded the security personnel not to forget their responsibilities of ensuring the safety of the mall goers, mall employees and tenants as well.
