BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC) conducted a series of seminars for both their members and employees last month in Baguio City to help their members gain valuable insights in handling their finances as well as ensure the strong growth of the cooperative.
More than 30 members based in Baguio City and nearby provinces were given an overview of the basics of personal finance in ‘Personal Finance 101’ and were given a holistic view on entrepreneurship in ‘How to start a business’ held last August 8, 2015. They were also taught the basics of meat processing on August 9 as part of the cooperative’s livelihood program.
On August 22, forty-seven employees from PAFCPIC’s various branches in Luzon braved the stormy weather to attend the seminar-workshop entitled ‘Emerging Marketing Strategies’ wherein they discussed how to develop marketing tactics in today’s digital environment. The employees were also taught ‘Customer Service Excellence’ to further enhance customer relationship.
Both events were hosted by the Baguio Branch of PAFCPIC headed by Marie Liza Agliam and were held at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), Fort Del Pilar, Baguio City. The Baguio Institute of Business Professionals Inc. and the Department of Trade and Industry – Benguet Provincial Office were tapped to help facilitate the seminar-workshops.
“We want our members to become more financially literate and business-oriented so that they can seek out the various services PAFCPIC has in store for them to help them meet their financial goals,” said Agliam.
Agliam also told Herald Express that the marketing and customer service seminars were conducted because their cooperative values the importance of having a workforce that is knowledgeable about good customer relations and the emerging marketing strategies in order for the cooperative to sustain its robust growth.
PAFCPIC is one of the largest cooperatives that cater to the members of the Philippine Army with several branches across the archipelago. It provides quality and innovative financial and integrated services for the upliftment of the socio-economic well-being of its members, their families and the community.
