LUNA Apayao – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) held their 42nd regular session on November 5, 2024 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall San Isidro Sur, Luna, Apayao presided over by Hon. Vincent S. Talattag.
During the session, the body approved two resolutions granting authority to the Governor (1) to represent the provincial government of Apayao in the Deed of Donation with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation and (2) to purchase one (1) unit motor vehicle (Pick-up truck) for the use of the Human Resource Management Office.
Meanwhile, a municipal ordinance granting cash incentives to students of Sta. Marcela from elementary and high school who garnered medals during the provincial athletic meet and national competition and a resolution granting an omnibus authority to the Governor to represent the provincial government in a Deed of Sale with Romeo Caligan were also approved on second reading.
With a focus on addressing key local development issues, the session also gave emphasis to concerns regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of public services in the province, exploring ways to enhance service delivery and address citizen needs. Among the discussions of the body included an ordinance enhancing the Bantay ASF in the barangay program of Calanasan, appropriation, a deed of donations, and agricultural concerns.
