Napakabilis ng panahon at nasa kalagitnaan na tayo ng January. Dahil nalalapit na ang pagtatapos ng buwan, kadalasang tinatanong ng SSS members kung kailan sila magbabayad ng kanilang kontribusyon at kung anong buwan ang maaari pa nilang bayaran. 

Batay sa sinusunod na contribution payment schedule, maaari pang bayaran hanggang huling araw ng buwan na kasunod ng applicable month o quarter ang SSS contribution ng Self Employed, Voluntary, at Non-Working Spouse members. Halimbawa, maaari pang bayaran ang October, November at December 2022 contributions hanggang January 31, 2023. May option din ang miyembro na bayaran ang kanilang kontribusyon kada buwan, quarter (e.g., January hanggang March), semester (January hanggang June) o kahit ang buong 2023 (January hanggang December). 

Samantala, iba naman ang contribution payment schedule ng Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) members. Maaari pa nilang bayaran ang kanilang January to September contributions hanggang December 31 ng kaparehong taon. Ang October to December contributions naman ay pwede pang bayaran hanggang January 31 ng sumunod na taon.

Noong October 2022, inilunsad ng SSS ang Flexible Payment Schedule para sa lahat ng mga magsasaka, mangingisda, at iba pang self-employed members na kabilang sa Informal Economy. Sa ilalim ng bagong programa, bibigyan sila ng pagkakataon na bayaran ang kanilang SSS contribution sa nakalipas na 12 buwan mula sa kasalukuyang buwan. Halimbawa, ngayong January 2023, pwede pa nilang bayaran ang kanilang SSS contribution para sa buwan ng January 2022 hanggang December 2022. 

Batid ng SSS na seasonal earners ang ating mga magsasaka at mangingisda. Hindi sila kumikita kada buwan gaya ng empleyadong pumapasok sa opisina kaya hindi nila mabayaran nang tuloy-tuloy ang kanilang SSS contribution. Kaya naman ibinatay ng SSS ang kanilang bagong payment schedule sa panahon ng kanilang ani o huli para naman may mapagkukunan sila ng pambayad sa kanilang SSS contribution. 

Dahil may pagkakataon na silang bayaran ito ng tuloy-tuloy, malaki ang pagkakatoaon na makatanggap sila ng benepisyo gaya ng sickness, maternity, disability, retirement, death at funeral. Malaking tulong ang programang ito para sa mga nais makakuha ng retirement benefit na ang kailangan ay hindi bababa sa 120 months ang posted contribution ng isang miyembro para mag-qualify sa buwanang pension. 

Samantala, wala namang dapat ipag-alala ang mga employed members dahil ikinakaltas naman kada buwan sa kanilang sahod ang kanilang SSS contribution. Ang dapat na lamang nilang gawin ay ugaliing i-check ang kanilang contribution records sa kanilang My.SSS account upang kumpirmahing regular na ibinabayad ng employers ang kanilang SSS contribution. Sa katunayan, ang pagkukumpirma ng SSS contribution sa My.SSS account ay dapat ginagawa ng lahat ng SSS members, kahit ano pa man ang membership category. 

Maliban sa Individual Members, may itinakda ring contribution payment schedule para sa employers. Huling araw ng sumunod na applicable payment period ang deadline ng Regular Employers. Pagdating sa Household Employers, huling working day of the month na sinundan ng applicable month o quarter ang kanilang deadline. Sa panahong ito, dapat ay inaasikaso na nila ngayong buwan ang pagbabayad ng kontribusyon ng kanilang manggagawa para sa buwan ng December 2022. 

Kung sakaling tumapat naman sa Sabado, Linggo o pista opisyal ang deadline ng pagbabayad, tatanggapin pa rin ng SSS ang bayad sa susunod na working day. 

Pinalawak na rin ng SSS ang payment channels nito. Bukod kasi sa mga SSS tellering facilities, maaari na ring magbayad sa mga digital payment platforms tulad ng SSS Mobile App, Maya, GCash, at ShopeePay. Pwede na rin sa mga internet banking facilities tulad ng Security Bank at Union Bank of the Philippines o kaya ay sa mga accredited payment centers at SSS-accredited partner agents.

Magpadala lamang ng email sa rillortac@sss.gov.ph kung may katanungan, paglilinaw o anumang paksa tungkol sa SSS na nais ninyong pag-usapan. Inaanyayahan rin naming kayong makinig sa “Usapang SSS” tuwing Lunes, 10:30AM-11:30AM sa DZWT 540 kHz at manood sa live FB stream ng “MPBC DZWT Kumpletos Rekados.”
