SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – SSS La Union established a call center booth as an additional channel to address members’ concern and follow-ups. Members, instead of physically queueing in the branch for inquiry, may call the branch’s call center and they will be assisted by an employee. Members may reach SSS La Union branch through their hotline numbers from 8AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday (except holidays): 0969-223-8837, 242-5668 or send them e-mail through: launion@sss.gov.ph.
On a daily average, the branch receives 45 calls, mostly for verification and follow-ups of submitted claims. All calls received and assisted are recorded in a log sheet as basis for status verification.
Currently, the branch is implementing the number coding scheme where members’ and employers’ transaction day are based on the on the 10th digit of their Social Security Number/ Common Reference Number (CRN) o Employee ID Number. Those ending in 1 and 2 are to transact only every Mondays, 3 and 4 every Tuesdays, 5 and 6 every Wednesdays, 7 and 8 on Thursdays and 9 and 0 on Fridays.
