SSS, sa gitna ng CoVID 19 crisis at ECQ

Matindi ang krisis na kinakaharap ng ating bansa dahil sa dumaraming kaso ng corona virus disease o COVID-19. Dahil dito, pansamantalang natigil ang normal na pamumuhay ng mga mamamayan dahil na rin sa ipinapatupad na Enhanced Community Quarantine sa National Capital Region (NCR) at sa buong Luzon. Sarado ang mga establisyimento tulad ng ilang mga negosyo gayundin ang mga tanggapan sa pribado at pampublikong sektor ngunit ang mga grocery, palengke, pharmacy, at mga bangko ay nananatiling bukas para sa mga pangunahing pangangailangan ng karamihan; tigil pasada din ang lahat ng mga pampublikong sasakyan; kaliwa’t-kanan ang mga checkpoints; lockdown ang ilang bayan; limitado din ang maaaring lumabas kada pamilya; at may work from home arrangements din ang mga empleyado sa gobyerno at pribadong sektor. Tanging ang ating mga health workers, sundalo, doktor at ilang frontline personnel ang tanging pinapahintulutan na pumasok araw-araw upang tuparin ang kanilang sinumpaang tungkulin para sa bayan.

Sa gitna ng krisis, may skeletal workforce pa rin ang SSS dito sa Luzon upang tuloy-tuloy pa rin naming mapagsilbihan ang ating mga miyembro. May mga “drop boxes” sa labas ng bawat branches para doon ipasa ng mga miyembro ang kanilang benefit applications. Ilagay lamang sa isang brown envelope ang mga dokumento at isulat sa labas nito ang kanilang pangalan at contact number. Samantala, ang mga benefit application forms ay maaaring i-download sa SSS website, www.sss.gov.ph.

Noong nakaraang kolum, napag-usapan natin ang Text-SSS Facility. Isa lamang ito sa Short Messaging Service (SMS) ng SSS upang makahuha ng impormasyon ang miyembro gamit ang kanilang mga cell phone.



Maliban sa Text-SSS, maaari ding bisitahin ang My.SSS portal sa SSS website. Kailangang mag-rehistro muna ang mga miyembro sa pamamagitan ng pag-supply ng mga hinihinging impormasyon, pagtanggap sa terms of service, at pag-click sa activation link upang makagawa ng password. Kapag may My.SSS account na, maaaring makita ng miyembro ang kanyang contribution at loan records kabilang ang kanyang benefit claim status. Maaari ding magpasa ng Maternity Notification, Retirement Benefit Application, Salary Loan Application, mag-inquire at mag-generate ng Payment Reference Number (PRN), i-update ang personal information at gamitin ang simulated retirement benefit calculator.

May sarili na ring Mobile App ang SSS. Maaaring i-download ito sa Google Play Store, Apple App Store at Huawei App Gallery para makita ang inyong membership information, contribution at loan records; mag-file ng Salary Loan Application at Maternity Notification; mag-generate ng PRN; mag-update ng contact information; magrehistro at gumawa ng My.SSS account; at malaman ang buong listahan ng mga dokumentong kinakailangan sa iba’t-ibang benefit applications gayundin ang branch location maps.

Maaari ding magpadala ng e-mail sa member_relations@sss.gov.ph para sa mga general inquiries, ofw.relations@sss.gov.ph para sa ating Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) concerns, prnhelpline@sss.gov.ph kung may katanungan tungkol sa Payment Reference Number, at onlineserviceassistance@sss.gov.ph kung may nais malaman tungkol sa SSS electronic/self-service facilities. Bukas din ang Automated Telephone Number na (02)7-917-7777 para sa NCR at sa numerong 8-442-6016 sa Baguio City.

Para makakuha ng latest updates tungkol sa SSS, bisitahin ang official Facebook page, Philippine Social Security System. Kamakailan ay may mga lumabas na fake news na magbibigay ang SSS ng P20,000 sa mga miyembro nito ngunit uulitin ko po, fake news ito at walang katotohanan.

Magandang balita naman sa ating mga pensyonado, simula Marso 23 ang SSS pension para sa buwan ng Abril ay inyo nang matatanggap.

Paalala lang po, mas mabuting makipagugnayan muna kayo sa mga bangko gamit ang telepono o kaya naman makisuyo kayo sa inyong mga kaanak upang i-check ang inyong account balance online upang kumpirmahin kung pumasok na sa inyong mga accounts ang April pension.

Muli, ipinapanalangin ko ang kaligtasan ng lahat laban sa virus na ito. Sundin po natin ang lahat ng abiso ng ating pamahalaan at barangay.
