BAGUIO CITY – A 37-year old store owner died after he was shot by a still unidentified motorcycle-riding armed individual along Mitra St., Middle Quezon Hill, here, Friday.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office, identified the fatality as Fabian Lina Ibarra, 37, single, store owner, and a resident at Ortega St., Middle Quezon Hill, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim, together with a male companion, were repairing her vehicle when the gunman on board a motorcycle suddenly made a U-turn in front of her vehicle.
At this juncture, the suspect asked the way to San Carlos Heights and when the victim told him the direction, he suddenly shot her once on her head hitting him just above here eye.
She was immediately rushed by her companion and concerned residents to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) but she was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team processed the crime scene for available pieces of evidence that would lead to the identification of the suspect who is now at large.
