TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 26-year old street level drug personality was successfully arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in his possession illegal drugs and assorted paraphernalia during a buy bust operation at Bulanao, here, Sunday.
Police authorities stated that during his arrest, another three sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 4.00 grams with a total standard drug price of P27,200.00 were recovered from his possession.
The arrest was made successful through the concerted efforts of the operatives from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Provincial Intelligence Unit of Kalinga PPO, Tabuk City Police Station, Pasil Municipal Police Station, 1st Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Division of PRO-CAR, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Kalinga.
The inventory and marking of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspect and duly witnessed by Ms. Lailanie Dumpao, DOJ representative; Ms. Hermenegilda Chico and Ms. Ramilyn Pabunan, media representatives; and Hon. Antonio Caldingo, Barangay Kagawad of Brgy. Bulanao Centro.
Subsequently, the arrested suspect and the evidence seized were brought to the PDEU for documentation and proper disposition. Meanwhile, the suspect is now detained and will be held accountable for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. By Dexter A. See
