TAYUM, Abra – A 20-year old second year college student died after his motorcycle bumped a waiting shed along the Tayum-Bucay road, particularly at sitio Wayya, Budac, here, Thursday afternoon.
Superintendent Mark Pespes, officer-in-charge of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the fatality as Rodelio Robolyedo Padagas, 20, single, 2nd year college student of the Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST), Bangued, Abra, and a resident of Sitio Batiwtiw, barangay Basbasa, Tayum Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was driving his motorcycle en route to Poblacion, Tayum when upon reaching the sharp curve in the place of incident, he reportedly miscalculated the curve and rammed into the waiting shed hitting his head on the concrete pavement.
He was rushed by concerned motorists to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple head and body injuries as a result of the accident.
