BAGUIO CITY – A 22-year old student was hurt after he was bumped on his left foot by a speeding red SUV along Kisad road here around 2:30 pm Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio city Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Jhamie Antonio Codod, 22- single, third year student of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) and a resident of Maria Pucay, Pinsao, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim together with some friends were walking along Kisad road when the red SUV with license plate number ADH-215 driven by a still unidentified individual suddenly bumped his left foot from behind.
Witnesses said the vehicle reportedly slowed down but suddenly sped off towards an undisclosed direction after the incident.
The victim was immediately rushed by his friends to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but was later released.
The vehicle was subjected to alarm to the different police stations around the city for the immediate arrest of the driver.
