BAGUIO CITY – A 20-year third-year hotel and restaurant management (HRM) student was arrested by combined police operatives after having found in his possession alleged drug paraphernalia and dried marijuana leaves during an interrogation for a previous case of malicious mischief along Leonard Wood Road here Saturday morning.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the arrested drug courier as Ruben Antonio Salvado alias Bal, 20, single, third-year HRM student and a resident of No. 32 Quirino-Magsaysay Subdivision, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that SPO2 Vic A. Calamiong and operatives of the BCPO Station No. 3 apprehended Salvador for malicious mischief upon the complaint of Jon Paolo Cruz Balderas, 22, single, LTO licensing employee and residing at No. 56 Pooten Apartment, Balacbac, Sto. Tomas Proper, Baguio City.
When he was asked to bring out his things during interrogation, probers were able to discover from his possession glass totter, hemp rolling paper, sealed plastic and plastic container containing approximately 25 grams of dried marijuana leaves.
The suspect was subsequently detained at the BCPO headquarters awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
