BAGUIO CITY – A 20-year old student was rescued unharmed from her abductors after they left her along Kitma road here around 11:30 pm Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the alleged abduction victim as Nadia Shaneece Verceles Mercado, 20, single, student, and a resident of Rimando road, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed Kimberly Gregorio Asuncion, 24, single, student, and a resident of Upper Brookspoint, Aurora Hill, Baguio City, reported to Station 6, Baguio City a case of an alleged abduction which transpired at around 10:15 PM of same date along Rimando Road, Baguio.
According to her, (3) unidentified suspects wearing bonnets allegedly dragged the victim inside a black Honda Civic vehicle and left her along Kitma Road, Baguio City. The victim was rescued unharmed with the help of passers-by and immediately brought to Station 6, Baguio CPO for documentation and investigation.
The victim is still undergoing investigation to ascertain the circumstances on the attempted abduction done by the still unidentified suspects on her.
