TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Mayor Darwin C. Estrañero and Acting Police Chief PLTCOL Benzon B. Macli-Ing led the activation and blessing of Tabuk City’s fourth COMPAC (Community Police Assistance Center) established at Brgy. Calanan on March 17.
The facility joins the other three COMPACs already in operation in Barangay Lanna, Agbannawag, and Bulanao, which have significantly contributed to improving police visibility and community engagement in the city. The Tabuk City Police Station also has two sub-stations in Dagupan and Bulanao.
Mayor Estrañero said that the new COMPAC is part of the city’s commitment to bolster peace and order; and strengthen public trust to law enforcement.
“When people feel that they are safe, when people know that these criminals will be held liable accountable, they will be more confident in the government in the justice system and in the future of our city,” he said.
The mayor also emphasized the positive impact of the new COMPAC in encouraging economic expansion and investment in the city through improved police visibility and faster response to crime incidents.
“We all know that business and development cannot thrive without peace and order. This economic growth, business expansions and investments are all built in the foundation of justice and security,” he said,” he said.
Likewise, Mac-liing is positive that the new COMPAC will further strengthen police engagement and cooperation with the community to better address security concerns of the residents in Calanan and nearby barangays.
