TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 47-year old job order of the city government was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in his possession prohibited drugs, illegal firearm and ammunitions and an alleged carnapped motorcycle in a checkpoint operation along FF Cruz St., Bulanao, here Sunday.
Senior Superintendent Victor Wanchakan, officer-in-charge of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested individual as umadlay Bocad Assudo, 47, married, Job Order employee of Tabuk City Hall and a resident of Malin-awa, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Confiscated from the direct possession of the suspect were One stainless Caliber 9mm Taurus pistol with serial number TRD 97393; One magazine loaded with nine live assorted ammo; One carnapped single XRM Honda Black motorcycle with Chassis number KPY20013365 and Engine number KPY20E013317 owned by Singgun who claimed that it was carnapped for almost Five months; One Gatsby container containing 31 pieces small transparent heat sealed plastic sachet of white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu; Two Samsung Cellphones; Cash amounting to Php3,150.00 in different denominations; and Other drug paraphernalia.
The arrested individual and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Tabuk City Police Office for documentation and the preparation of charges for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law, RA 6539 or the Anti-Carnapping Law and the gun ban imposed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
