TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Tabuk City participated in the Biyaheng Kalusugan celebration, focusing on Road Safety and PuroKalusugan, held at the Kalinga Sports Center on May 22, 2025.
The city government was represented by the City Health Services Office (CHSO), led by Dr. Henrietta Bagayao, along with the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) and the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO).
City Administrator Noli Tenedero, representing Mayor Darwin Entrañero, and ABC President Alejandro Cos-agon also attended the event, delivering their messages of support.
In addition, personnel from CDRRMO, POSO, and Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams were recognized for their participation in the Standard First Aid Training Provider’s Course conducted by the DOH-Kalinga from May 14 to 16.
The event showcased at least 15 booths covering various health and safety themes, including immunization, nutrition, WASH, road safety, maternal health, the National TB Program, HIV awareness, cancer prevention, hypertension, diabetes, and mental health.
Additional booths were set up by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
With the theme “MayatNgaRoad: Agannad! Napateg iti Tunggal Biag,” the celebration was organized by the Cordillera Center for Health Development and the DOH Health Promotion Bureau.
The event was led by DOH-Cordillera Regional Director Ferdinand Benbenen, Health Promotion Bureau’s Health Literacy and Behavior Change Division Chief Jason Roque, and Kalinga Provincial Hospital Chief Dr. Rey Aranca. By Tabuk PIO
