TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Family Day was observed today at Nambaran Gym by parents and kids from the barangays of District III.
The celebration’s theme “Families and Urbanization,” serves as a reminder for parents to spend more time with their kids in order to improve family ties, foster unity, and help kids develop positive values, according to Social Welfare officer Eusebia Edduba.
Napoleon Ayang-ang, who represented Mayor Darwin Estrañero, said that the event was arranged to encourage families to participate in development rather than only be recipients of government assistance.
According to him, every family should have a solid foundation, and it is the duty of every parent to instill in their children the principles that would enable them to grow into better persons.
According to Social Welfare officer Gideon Wansi, in order to better guide their children, parents can use this event to observe and learn about their strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, by taking part in the planned activities, such as slogan creation and drama presentations, parents and children can forge stronger bonds.
Other districts will also observe Family Day, according to the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
