TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The City Health Services Office (CHSO) commemorated National Health Workers’ Month by holding its annual Health Olympics at the Agbannawag TTMF from July 11-12. The activity drew approximately 136 participants, including Department of Health HRH staff.
During the two-day event, games such as basketball, big volleyball, traditional games like kadang-kadang, Banga relay, and CHSO great obstacle course were played. The Olympics was intended to foster friendship among health workers from the four health facilities and the main Health Office.
Aside from bringing health workers together, the event also served as a platform for improving or alleviating their mental health.
This is the second year the health services office has held the Olympics, which they hoped will become an annual event for health workers.
The event was led by City Health Officer Dr. Henrietta Bagayao and Jandel Taguiam who conceptualized and organized the event. By Tabuk PIO
