TABUK CITY, Kalinga – As part of the ongoing communication research of the City Public Information Office (CPIO) entitled “Road safety starts with you: Comprehensive Road Safety Education”, the Tabuk City Police Station (TCPS) reveals that most road crashes happen at eight in the evening.
Data from the 2024 vehicular traffic accidents (VTA) cases released by the TCPS shows 67 incidents. Of this number, eight incidents transpired at 8PM while six incidents happened in various hours of the day like 10AM, 4PM, 7PM,10PM and 12 midnight.
The report also showed that there were five occasions of traffic collisions that took place at 1PM and 6PM.
The 2022 and 2023 TCPS data on VTA that resulted in death, self-accident, and damage to property clearly shows that most road accidents transpired from 6PM to 10PM.
As observed, road accidents in the city’s major thoroughfares are increasing, and motorists are reminded to always be alert and keep their focus while driving.
CPIO’s communication research on VTA aims to promote overall road safety, focusing on traffic laws, obeying speed limits, and sharing road responsibility. By Darwin Serion
