TABUK CITY – To ensure public safety these summer months, PNP-Tabuk set up Police Assistance Desks in strategic areas of the city, including Calanan, Block 3, KSU-Bulanao Campus, Lanna, San Juan, and Agbannawag.
“Tapno assideg dagiti pagreportan tayo nu adda insidente nga makita tayo, nangnangruna iti daytuy nga observance ti holy week,” said PLTCOL Benson Macli-ing during the City Flag-raising ceremony on April 14.
This initiative is part of the “Oplan Ligtas SumVac 2025” campaign, which aims to provide a safe and peaceful vacation for tourists and vacationists taking advantage of the long weekend and school break.
From April to May, the city also celebrates a wave of barangay fiesta events, which may result in a surge in local tourism.
Macli-ing advised Tabukeños on vacation to lock their homes and avoid publishing their whereabouts on social media to deter burglars and criminals, as robbery incidences remain prevalent in the city.
“Sapay kuma ta agtitinnulong tayo tapno magun-ud tayo latta ti talna ken kapia iti ili tayo nga Tabuk,” he added. By Rio Bassong
