TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The city government is set to conduct the advocacy caravan-cum-community services this month.
According to City Planning and Development Officer Maricel Kiley during today’s Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) meeting, the caravan is a city government initiative to share and bring government services to the community’s doorstep, ensuring services are accessible and relevant to the people.
Among the activities provided during the conduct of this initiative are medical-dental mission, reproductive health and family planning, skills training and special recruitment activity, monitoring of youth-related projects, planning services, veterinary mission, seedlings distribution, social welfare and development services, IECs and cliniquing of cooperatives for bookkeeping.
Highlighted also is the validation of barangay priority projects for next year’s implementation. The team will also gather data from the barangays and integrate their concerns in the Barangay Local Development Plan.
The advocacy caravan and community services will begin on March 10 and conclude on April 23. The caravan will serve two barangays simultaneously in a day. By Darwin Serion
