DOLORES, Abra – A 50-year old barangay tanod was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in his possession assorted illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia during a buy-bust operation at Talogtog here Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested drug trader as Jimmy Arce Vinegas, 50, married, Barangay Tanod, a resident of Barangay Cabaruan, Dolores, Abra.
Confiscated from his possession were one pc five hundred peso bill with SN QM789305 marked money previously recorded in the police blotter; one pc five hundred peso bill with SN GF336941; one pc one hundred peso bill with SN G128874; 12 pcs one thousand peso bill as buddle money; one piece orange lighter; one Nokia Cellphone model N112; and one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less one (1) gram.
The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Dolores Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to the filing of the appropriate charges of violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law against him.
