BANGUED, Abra August 07 – A 41-year old barangay tanod was injured after he was allegedly stabbed by four knife-wielding individuals while he was en route to the old food court to buy snack at Zone V, here, Friday.
Police authorities identified the injured individual as Greg Cubo Viado, 41, married, barangay Tanod and a resident of Zone 6, Bangued Abra. While one of the arrested suspects was named as Larrenz Diloy Bringas, 17, and a resident of Zone 5, Bangued, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was driving his motorcycle en route to the old food court to buy something for his snack in a slow speed when four still unidentified knife wielding individuals suddenly appeared and stabbed him several times that prompted him to speed off from the crime scene despite sustaining a stab wound on his back.
He was immediately rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment where he was later confined while one of the suspects was collared by responding police operatives during a follow-up operation and now awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
