BONTOC, Mountain Province – In a demonstration of its commitment to community service, officials and representatives from the Bontoc Local Government Unit (LGU) visited Barangays Bayyo, Talubin, Caneo, and Tocucan on February 26, 2025, to distribute honorariums to the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs), commonly known as Barangay Tanods, as well as the members of the Katarungang Pambarangay (Lupon) for the year 2024.
In addition, the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) from the same barangays received a financial incentive of ₱833.00 for December 2024, recognizing their vital role in promoting public health within their communities.
The distribution of honorariums was facilitated by the Municipal Treasury Office, headed by Municipal Treasurer Lourdes Austria.
Bontoc Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., expressed his sincere appreciation for the dedication of all frontliners involved in community service. He emphasized that delivering the honorariums directly to the recipients in their respective barangays not only saves them time and money but also acknowledges their hard work.
“To our hardworking Barangay Tanods, Lupon members, and Barangay Health Workers, thank you for your dedication and service. We are grateful for your initiatives in keeping our place safe,resolving conflicts, and bringing health services closer to the people. You are the unsung heroes of our community. We see your sacrifices, and we deeply appreciate everything you do. Rest assured, the municipal government will always support you in your mission to public service,” he stated.
