A taxi driver, who is also a member of a local drug group, was nabbed by anti-narcotics agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Baguio-Benguet Office earlier in a sting operation inside an inn along Marcos Highway, Baguio City.
Manuel Delion Arbela, alias Manuel Abelar, 33 years old and resident of San Carlos Heights, Irisan, Baguio City was arrested after selling five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less one gram with a street value of P6,800 to an undercover agent.
Upon his arrest, Arbela yielded the buy-bust money together with some drug paraphernalia.
The drug group member is temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR jail facility pending the filing of charges for violating Republic Act Number 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” as amended.
