BANGUED, Abra September 29 – A 38-year old teacher died after he was repeatedly shot to death by two still unidentified riding in tandem armed men while he was on his way to his work place at barangay Liptan, here, Wednesday morning.
Police Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar, regional director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the fatality as Rudy Steward Dugman Sayem, 38, single and a teacher at the Suyo National High School in Pidigan, Abra and currently residing at Zone 4, Bangued, Abra.
Probers disclosed that the victim was on board his motorcycle en route to his work place when he was tailed by 2 riding in tandem armed men who immediately shot him twice upon reaching a car wash area.
The victim was immediately rushed by concerned residents and responding personnel of the Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared on arrival by attending physicians due to hypovolemic shock secondary to gunshot wounds.
Police personnel are now conducting a manhunt and hot pursuit operation against the 2-armed suspects to ascertain the motive of the teacher’s brutal murder and for them to face the murder charges being readied by the Bangued Municipal Police Station against them.
