SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The iPolice e-Buzz-ER mobile application, an initiative by the Police Regional Office (PRO) 1, is earning praise for enhancing public safety and strengthening community collaboration across the Ilocos Region.

During the 4th Quarter Meeting of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) in Region 1, the app was formally commended through Resolution No. 29, Series of 2024. This accolade highlights its role in advancing safety and fostering citizen engagement.
“This initiative demonstrates the PNP’s commitment to integrating technology into public service, creating a safer and more connected Region 1,” the resolution stated.
PRO 1 Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Lou Evangelista, highlighted the role of the app in the achievement of the PRO1’s vision for safer, technology-driven policing.
“The iPolice e-Buzz-ER app is part of our commitment to expedite emergency responses and enhance our service to the public,” Evangelista said.

The app addresses the need for effective emergency communication, offering features that empower residents, including:
o Real-Time Reporting: Directly report crimes, suspicious activities, or emergencies to the nearest police station.
o 24/7 Emergency Access: Quick connections to emergency numbers for timely assistance.
o Collaboration and Feedback: A platform for users to share suggestions, fostering stronger ties with law enforcement.
o Crime Prevention Tools: Information on safety measures and crime prevention strategies.
This digital initiative aligns with national goals for responsive governance, resonating with the President’s 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda.

Rocky Bautista, a resident from Rosario, La Union described it as a practical tool for improving safety.
