BONTOC, Mountain Province – A 17-year old minor died after his motorcycle bumped a wall on the side of the national highway causing him to fall into a ravine at sitio Latang, Caluttit here recently.
Senior Superintendent Cornelio Comila, officer-in-charge of the Mountain Province Police Office, identified the fatality as Crispin Ewan Binay-og, 17, single, laborer, native of Sadanga, Mountain Province and a resident of Maledda, Tabuk City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was driving his motorcycle en route to Tabuk City, Kalinga when he decided to overtake his companion but upon reaching a curved portion of the road, he suddenly lost control of his vehicle that caused it to bump a wall on the side of the road resulting to his being thrown off the same towards the deep ravine.
The victim was rescued by his companions and rushed to the Bontoc General Hospital for medical treatment but he reportedly died due to multiple fractures on his head and body.
The case is still subject to further investigation by concerned police authorities.
