BAGUIO CITY – A 16-year old teenager was injured after he was allegedly hacked by a labourer while they were having a drinking session at Pinesville, Fort del Pilar, here Tuesday evening.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office, identified the victim as Christopher Cabanes Navarro, 16, single, resident of No. 1052, Virac-Kias, Itogon, Benguet while he named the suspect as Edmundo Makasibang Abella, 44, married, labourer and a resident of Pineville, Fort del Pilar, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session when a heated argument suddenly ensued between them until the suspect was able to grab a bolo and hacked the victim several times.
The victim was brought to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and awaiting the filing of appropriate charges against him.
