It is another momentous year for the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, North Luzon Area as we undertake the 26th North Luzon Area Business Conference (NLABC). The PCCI organized this annual business event and hosted by the Metro Olongapo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MOCCI). The schedule of this year’s conference is on August 24 – 26, 2017 at the Subic Grand Harbour Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City.
There are Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chapters in the Philippines located in different regions. These local chapters not isolated entities; they are united in one mission – “Spokesman of the business community and advocates for prosperity”. In pursuing this mission the Chamber Movement require mutual support among them. It is for this reason that they have established linkages among themselves by forming the Business conferences from north to south areas of the country, which is the gateway to Philippine Business Council.
The Business Conference is thus a collective activity of the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry in every area comprising various regions providing a common base to work and struggle for the common goal and objective.
It is the coming together of all the local Chambers and other stakeholders for mutual strength, sharing and united efforts to undertake new tasks and challenges and coming up with this year’s conference theme, “Next Level for North Luzon” (NL4NL). It calls for a collective voice, more potent alliance and convergence of actions towards a vibrant local business climate and development in the countryside.
The Area Business Conference provides also basic insights into the crucial and fundamental issues and concerns of the nation and its people. These insights enable the Chamber Movement to prioritize issues and engage in relevant common tasks. It is also a rallying base for them in common struggle for one mission in the context of the regional perspective and strives to make unique contribution within their area and beyond. … thus, making them a reality and gearing towards the global market.
Objectives:
This 26th NLABC has its objectives to formulate policy thrusts and directions for the business community in the North Luzon Area. Presentation of policy issues and resolutions for the consideration of the government and determine courses of action that the business sector may adopt to further its goals and objectives.
By and large, bring the Philippine business and industry from the countryside to the next level in the global market. Showcase the North Luzon Area’s indigenous and globally competitive products. Further, to enhance investment promotional activities in the North Luzon Areas by highlighting its competitive advantages and resources to prospective investors.
NLABC is a venue of promoting harmonious relationship between and among local Chambers particularly CCIs from the North Luzon Area. A time also for members and business people to network, look for business opportunities and forge partnerships with prospective investors from other places and even from other countries.
