TAYUM, Abra March 18 – A 56-year old businessman died after he was gunned down by still unidentified gun-wielding suspects while he was selling lechon in front of his residence near the slaughterhouse at Poblacion, here, Sunday morning.
Police authorities identified the victim as Rodolfo Belleza, 56, married, businessman and a resident of Barangay, Poblacion, Tayum, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was busy selling lechon in front of his residence when the suspect arrived and fired at him several times hitting him on his chest and stomach that caused his instantaneous death.
Responding police personnel and elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team recovered from the crime scene two spent shells of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the suspect in the perpetration of the crime.
Probers are still ascertaining the motive behind the brutal murder incident that resulted to the loss of another life in Abra.
