BANGUED, Abra October 23 – A tricycle driver was injred after he was shot by a gun-wielding suspect in front of a funeral parlor along Torejos St., Zone V, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the injured individual as Benjie Valeros Bobias of legal age, married, tricycle driver and a resident of barangay Agtangao, Bangued, Abra while the suspect was named as Dante Viado Buenafe, 34, married, unemployed and a resident of Transmitter, barangay Bangbangar, Bangued, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was driving his motorcycle traversing the road and while in front of the funeral parlor in the area, he was fired upon by the motorcycle-riding suspect who immediately fled towards an undisclosed direction after the incident.
The victim was rushed to the Seares Memorial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation.
Recovered from the crime scene were two fired shells and two slugs of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the suspect in the perpetration of the crime.
