TABUK CITY, Kalinga – In separate operations launched by the Philippine National Police (PNP), two suspects wanted by the law, including the number 8 top most wanted person in Anda, Pangasinan, were arrested here on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
According to the police report, joint personnel from the Rizal Municipal Police Station (MPS), headed by Police Captain Avelmar Barambas, Tabuk City Police Station (TCPS), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) – Pangasinan, and Anda MPS, arrested 50-year old Valentino Calve around the vicinity of Bulanao Central School where he worked as a carpenter.
Calve was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Lilia Español, of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 55, Alaminos City, on the ground of frustrated murder with the use of an unlicensed firearm.
A native of Anda, Pangasinan but presently residing in barangay Babalag, Rizal, Calve is suspected to be the leader of the “Calve Group”, a group allegedly involved in gun running activities within the First District of Pangasinan. Calve’s bail was set at Php 200,000.
Calve was brought to the Tabuk CPS for proper documentation before being turned over to the law enforcement units of Pangasinan.
The second suspect was arrested at around 2: 35 PM at Purok 6, Bulanao by the joint trackers team of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (KPPO) Provincial Intelligence Branch/Drug Enforcement Unity (PIB/DEU), Regional Intelligence Division (RID) PROCOR, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 14, and Tabuk CPS led by PLTCOL Radino Belly.
31 year-old Warren Gangob, a resident of Bulanao, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Jerson Angog, RTC, Second Judicial Region, Branch 25, this city, for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness.
Gangob is now under the custody of the Tabuk CPS and had been properly documented and is awaiting charges to be filed against him. His bail is set at P 120,000.00.
