Clarkson – new owner of Jazz highest points from bench after firing a career-high 45
March 20, 2022 – Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson now owns the most scored off the bench in Utah Jazz history when he fired 45 markers in the Jazz’s 134-125 win over the Sacramento Kings on March 12, 2022.
He surpassed the 41 markers scored by Thurl Bailey in 1988.
Clarkson’s previous high of the bench for the Jazz was 40. He recorded this recently during a 134-123 Jazz win over the Philadelphia 76ers on February 15. He also scored 37 for the Jazz on January 30, 2020.
The 45 markers are also Clarkson’s the highest scoring output of his career, surpassing the 42 he scored during a 139-148 triple overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets on February 13, 2019. This was also made off the bench.
His highest scoring output while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers was 35 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 24, 2017.
Mitchell, Bogdanovic resets Jazz triples records
March 20 – Utah Jazz’s Bojan Bogdanovic resets the most triples in a game for a Jazzman during the Jazz’s 116-103 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 6, 2022.
Bogdanovic converted 11 triples, also tied for sixth most in NBA history.
He surpassed the previous record held of 8 held by Jeff Hornacek since November 23, 1994. Darrel Griffith shot 5 triples on February 16, 1987 preceded Hornacek.
Donovan Mitchell grabbed second place more than a week later when he fired a career-high nine triples during Utah’s 125-110 win over the Chicago Bulls on March 16, 2022.
Mitchell also resets two Utah franchise records when he scored 25 of his 37 points in the third quarter.
He broke Karl Malone’s previous team mark of 22 points in a third quarter.
With 21 of his third quarter points coming beyond the arc, Mitchell reset the franchise-record threes in a quarter to seven.
Mitchell his nine 3-pointers bested his previous career-best of seven.
