BAGUIO CITY – A 49-year old vendor died after he was allegedly shot to death by still unidentified gun-wielding assailants in front of their residence at Purok 1, Padre Zamora, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Freddie Del Rosario Lonez Sr., 49, married, vendor, and a resident of Padre Zamora, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim arrived home and texted his wife to throw the key of the gate of their residence through the window.
However, his wife then heard successive gunshots that emanated from a still undisclosed direction and when she went to see what happened, he saw his husband sprawled bloodied on the ground.
The victim was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple gunshot wounds which he sustained from the said shooting incident.
Probers are still conducting an indepth investigation on the motive behind the brutal murder of the said vendor.
