BAGUIO CITY – A 48-year old vendor died while his 40-year old wife was injured after they were fired upon by a still unidentified gunman along Camia St., Upper Quezon Hill, here, Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the fatality as Julius Amando, 48, married, vendor, tenant at Purok 7, Sunnyside Fairview, Baguio City while he named his injured wife as Angelita Amando, 40.
Initial police investigation showed the coupled alighted from a jeepney and were walking towards their residence when a still unidentified bonnet-wearing armed person suddenly fired at them.
The vendor was hit on his head and body his wife was hit on his leg. Both persons were immediately rushed by concerned citizens to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but vendor was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
The fatality is said to be one of those included in the top ten drug personlaities in the city being closely watched by intelligence and anti-narcotics agents.
