BONTOC, Mountain Province May 07 – A 58-year old watchman was injured after he was stabbed on the different parts of his body by a knife-wielding student in front a building at Eyeb, here, Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Allen S. Ocden, provincial director of the Mountain Province Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as victim Santiago Tingey Mi-ing, 58, married, watchman at Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School, Poblacion, Bontoc, Mountain Province and resident of Pattig, Bontoc Ili, Bontoc, Mountain Province while he named the suspect as Dexter Sianen Pagod, 21, single, student at Mountain Province State Polytechnic College, and residing at Hermie Castaneda Boarding House, Lower Caluttit, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
Initial police investigation showed that the suspect, for still unknown reasons, allegedly stabbed the suspect while he was in the place of incident before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was admitted in the Bontoc General Hospital for further observation of the stab wounds that he sustained while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives during a followup operation inside his boarding house.
The case is still subject to further investigation to ascertain the motive behind the said stabbing incident.
