La Trinidad, Benguet – The Wesleyans and the Executive Mixers kept their winning streaks alive and still lead their respective brackets after games for the 5th Season of the Laity Cup last October 2 and 6 were completed at the San Jose Gym, here.
The Wesleyans walloped Sacred Heart, 91-79, last October 6 to register
their third straight win and joined the Latter Day Saints as the only remaining unbeaten teams in the inter-religious bracket. The Saints are unbeaten in four games.
On the other hand, the Mixers completed an 83-56 reversal against the DepEd Mentors to also carve their own three-game winning streak. They are now a full game ahead of the Legal Team in the inter-office bracket.
In the other games, Immaculate Conception of Taba-ao, Kapangan pocketed two wins last week to occupy third place. They first gave the Alliance Wonders their third straight loss, 80-75, last October 2 then dealt San Jose its third loss, 75-62, on October 6 to hike their record to 3-1.
Erstwhile leader Caliking was topped by the Assembly of God, 96-90, to fall into a tie with their predators with a 2-1 record. The Don Bosco Boys extended the losing streak of the Holy Knights to four, 86-75, also last October 2.
