MANABO, Abra – A 67-year old widow, who was suspected to have been performing witchcrafts, died after she was gunned down by still unidentified assailants while she and her companion were on their way to church in Sitio Casacgudan, San Ramon, here, Sunday morning.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Rosa Badongen Aliguen, 67 years old, widow and a resident of Casacgudan, San Ramon, here, Sunday morning.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and her companion were walking towards a church when they were fired upon by still unidentified assailants hitting her on her back that caused her to be sprawled bloodied on the ground.
She was rushed to the nearest health facility for medical treatment but she was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple gunshot wounds on her back while the suspects are now the subject of a manhunt operation.
