City officials recently congratulated and commended the winners of the 2024 Philippine National skills Competition from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority–Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (TESDA-CSITE) main campus held last August 21-25, 2024 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Betty Lourdes F. Tabanda, local legislators stated that the city government recognizes the exemplary feat of the awardees who embraced hard work to harness their craft.
Further, the accolades and honor belongs to them and their families, to the institution and to the whole city who celebrate their glory.
The Philippine National Skills Competition is an annual event of the TESDA to showcase the exceptional skills and talents of Filipino technical-vocational education and training (TVET) graduates throughout the country.
The said competition highlight the Filipino skills on the global stage and empowers the youth to excel in their chosen fields of expertise.
This year’s event was actively participated in by over 200 competitors across the country’s 17 regions in 25 various skills areas as part of TESDA’s 30th anniversary celebration under the theme ‘Empowering the Future: Advancing Skills for Tomorrow.’
The TESDA-CSITE main campus located at Military Cut-off, Baguio City proudly announced the names of its graduates and trainees who are residents of the city who garnered various awards in the said competition.
Among them are Mary Kristine Irish C. Pasion – expert and Joshua F. Lizardo – assistant expert who garnered gold medal in cooking; Gibran A. Sudango – silver medal in bakery; Angel Joyce Durante, Brennan Mars F. Cocoy – silver medal in CNC maintenance; Noriel K. Ramos – expert in CNC Maintenance expert and certificate of excellence in restaurant services and Danilo G. Mamaril expert and certificate of excellence in restaurant services.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the said winners and the TESDA-CSITE administration for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
