RIZAL, Kalinga – A woman was hurt after she was robbed of her valuables and cash money and shot by one of two motorcycle-riding male suspects at Liwan West here around 9 pm Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Victor Wanchakan, officer-in-charge of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the robbery victim as Rebecca Boston, a resident of Liwan West, Rizal, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed that two still unidentified male riding in tandem suspects reportedly help up the victim at gun point and took her cash money, valuables and other personal belongings.
When the victim tried to fight back, one of the suspects allegedly shot her on the different parts of her body causing her to fall unconscious on the ground.
The suspect immediately fled towards an undisclosed direction while the victim was rushed to a Tuguegarao City-based hospital for medical treatment of her gunshot wounds.
The suspects are now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding elements of the Rizal Municipal Police Station while the firearm used remains undetermined.
