CONNER, Apayao – Another yApayao has risen to the top ranks of the Philippine Army’s (PA) Candidate Soldier Course (CSC).
Marichel Dayag Morales, 24, from Guinamgaman, Conner, outperformed 721 candidates in the Army Batch 12, Class 795-24 at Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac. She earned the highest general average of 94.36 in all academic and non-academic categories, securing the top spot in her batch.
Morales is an Information Technology (IT) graduate from Apayao State College (ASC)–Conner Campus. She is the daughter of Mario Morales and the late Marissa Dayag Morales. She is also a product of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) recruitment program of the provincial government through its flagship program, Apayao Socio-Economic Efforts Necessary for Growth (ASENG).
Her achievement follows that of Private Carmencita Alberto, another Conner native who topped CSC in 2023 at Camp Melchor F. Dela Cruz in Gamu, Isabela.
The CSC puts recruits through months of rigorous physical and mental training and shapes them for the demands of military service. Morales’ performance reflects her dedication and readiness to serve.
Alongside Morales, 12 other yApayaos (9 males & 3 females) will graduate tomorrow, February 21, officially joining the Philippine Army. By Apayao PIO
