LUNA, Apayao — The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) conducted the First Provincial Monitoring and Evaluation Forum on June 20-21, 2024, at Leonarda Homestay in Tumog, Luna, which is aimed at improving project oversight in the province, and ensuring greater transparency and efficiency.
The forum saw active participation from local project monitoring committees and provincial government offices, bringing together key stakeholders for meaningful discussions and collaborative sessions.
The primary focus was on the Electronic Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (eRPMES), a new digital platform designed to transform project monitoring and evaluation, enhancing accountability and streamlining processes.
The highlight of the forum was the creation of a Provincial Account for Apayao. This will consolidate project data and performance metrics, giving stakeholders real-time insights into project status and resource allocation. By adopting modern technology and standardized monitoring frameworks, the PPDO and NEDA hope to empower local communities and ensure that development initiatives are aligned with strategic goals.
With the adoption of eRPMES, Apayao anticipates better decision-making, reduced administrative burdens, and increased public trust in governance. By HENT
