The 4-H Club members of Tabuk City who will be competing during the 71st 4-H National Farm Youth Convention in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte, are calling for financial support for the upcoming competition.
This was after Tabuk City was once again recognized as the overall winner during the 9th CAR Regional 4-H Youth Camp, winning in the following categories: 1. 4-H Regional Excellent Achievers Award – Heart Category; 2. 4-H Regional Excellent Achievers Award – Health Category; 3. 4-H Quiz Bee; 4. 4-H Agri-Innovation Pitching; 5. 4-H Trashformation; 6. 4-H SongCon: Duet; and 7. 4-H Coconut-Based Cooking Contest
Twelve Tabuk City 4-Hers will be representing the city and Region CAR in the 71st 4-H National Farm Youth Convention on June 19–21 at Dapa, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte.
The estimated expense for each participant amounts to P23,000.00, inclusive of the P8,000.00 registration fee, plane tickets, and bus tickets.
The city has allotted a budget of P96,000.00 to the Tabuk City 4-H Club participants for their registration, but it is not enough to cover the round trip airfare and other expenses for the 12 contestants.
As of today, the 4-H Tabuk Federation is still raising P180,000.00 to cover the roundtrip plane and bus tickets of the participants.
Those who are willing to give financial support may send it through the City 4-H Club Coordinator, Ms. Noriebelle Salibad, or through G-Cash at 09481042572, or visit her at the Office for City Agricultural Services, second floor, City Hall. By Ian Addatu
