BAGUIO CITY – The city council passed a resolution congratulating, giving due recognition and appreciation to all the victors, their coaches and technical representatives in the 2017 Muay Thai National Championships held November 8 to 13 at the PhilSports Complex in Pasay City.
The prestigious event aims to continue discovering new talented players from communities and schools to represent the country in future international competitions.
Victors in the Novice Category in their respective weight and age classes include gold medalists Judith Chadyaas, Christina Tirzo, Xander Apilio, Nelson Bantiyan, Tom Oliver Fortunato, Vincent Maspil and Elmore Malano.
Silver medalists are Cazzel Gatinao and Craig Danzel Pinasen while Lester Brent Simongo, Daniel Chao-Waten, Jedie Dan Awas and Moises Manangyao garnered bronze medals.
Winners in the Advance Category are gold medalists Dahlia Tarapen, Judith Chadyaas, Rosemarie Recto, Ligaya Kagaid and Felex Dave Cantores. Silver medalists are Evertson Baniaga and Roldan Lingbanan while Islay Erica Bomogao, Hernan Pinasen, Daryl Chulipas, Bryan Aban and Jefferson Golocan garnered bronze medals.
Coaches are Jerry Valdez, John Cay-ohen, Noriel Acquisio and Joseph Oloan while technical representatives are Bryan Olod, Ariestotle Estino and Edzel Ngina.
“This outstanding performance by Baguio athletes and coaches deserves to be commended for the honor and recognition they have brought to the city,” the measure states.
