BAGUIO CITY- the Baguio Country Club (BCC) introduced a new theme park: A journey to the wonders of the world, which will be an added tourist attraction in the city as it will run through in the next four months.
The theme park features the underworld, pre-historic period, Greek methodology, Chinese warriors and Egyptian time with statues of Gods and Goddesses, dinosaurs, whale, shark, sphinx, and caveman. A dinosaur show waits for all ages showing the different kinds of dinosaurs and a dinosaur ride for kids to enjoy for only 50 pesos. There are also tables and chairs for visitors to sit down and appreciate the outlook and atmosphere of the place. Moreover, food stalls are available for the visitors to have their snacks.
Anthony de Leon, BCC general manager, said that this theme park is something for the children to enjoy and have a preview on the different eras and timelines and that it will also serve as a learning experience for everyone wanting to visit the new attraction in the city.
We don’t foresee a great number of visitors except the exact number of visitors that Baguio has every year. This is not for the increase in tourism but an additional asset of our city for the locals to also enjoy.
He also said that the construction of the theme park immediately started last March 28, 2016 right after the holy week causing seven million for all the materials, construction and technology used in the making of the park.
The BCC theme park is now open and will end on August 15, 2016. Entrance fees for adults from 12 years old and above costs 100 pesos, Senior citizens for 80 pesos, children from 4-12 years old is 50 pesos and persons with disabilities (PWD’s) and three years old are free. While a 50% discount are given to BCC members. The BCC theme park: A journey to the wonders of the world is located at the BCC skating area.
