Baguio City – The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) served notice of a scheduled power interruption in major parts of Baguio City and Benguet from 8:00 AM to 12:on Noon of Thursday, May 21, 2020
According to the NGCP communication, the areas affected are:
1. Whole of Baguio City ( EXCEPT Pacdal, Camp 7, Camp 8, San Vicente, Poliwes, Sta. Scholastica, Mines View, Gibraltar, South Drive, Outlook Drive, Happy Hallow, Country Club, Camp John Hay, Loakan Proper, Loakan Liwanag, Military Cut-off, Sta. Escolastica, Dagsian, Scout Barrio, Greenwater, Kias, parts of DPS Compound, parts of Bakakeng Sur near Camp 7, parts of Balsigan);
2. La Trinidad : Whole of Poblacion, Balili, Betag, Pico,Puguis, Tomay, Alapang, Alno, Cruz, Lubas, Bahong, Bineng, Wangal, Ambiong (except near Ambuclao Road), Shilan (except areas near Lamut, Beckel)
3. Whole of Sablan
4. Tuba: Tadiangan, Nangalisan, Poblacion, Taloy Sur/Norte, Tabaan Norte, Sto. Tomas School Area, Yagyagan, San Pascual to include Parts of Aringay, LU.
5. Whole of Tublay (except Acop to WINACA)
6. Whole of Atok
7. Whole of Kabayan
8. Whole of Buguias
9. Whole of Mankayan
10. Whole of Kibungan (except Tacadang and Palina)
11. Whole of Bakun (except Kayapa)
12. Bokod: Bila, Bobok-Bisal, Daclan BD, Ekip, Karao, Kawal, Nawal, Pito, Poblacion BD, Tikey
Melma Concepcion C. Batario, the Regional Communications and Public Affairs Lead Specialist of the company’s Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Department said the reasons for the power interruption are: Commissioning/Energization of Bus Protection Relay at La Trinidad Substation, Normalization of connection for La Trinidad-Sablan 69kV Line, Corrective maintenance along La Trinidad-Sagada and La Trinidad-Lepanto 69kV Lines, and Testing of equipment at HEDCOR-Ampohaw (Calot) metering facility
