The City Government streamlined some of the procedures in tax payment and business permit processing at the City Hall One-Stop-Shop and the Permits and Licensing Office to ensure better service and crowd control as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.
The City Treasury Office under City Treasurer Alex Cabarrubias and the Permits and Licensing Division of the City Mayor’s Office began led by Division Chief Allan Abayao said that the new schemes were implemented strictly beginning Jan. 4, 2021.
The new schemes are:
*Assessment of business tax and bills/statement for real property tax will be available online starting January 4, 2021 through the Baguio in My Pocket (BIMP). Please visit the Official page of Baguio in My Pocket at www.baguioinmypocket.ph for the detailed instructions on how to request for said business tax assessment and/or real property tax bills/statement.
With this, Business Tax Assessment and Real Property Tax Bill/Statement will no longer be issued at City Hall. Only those that have issues, hence cannot be secured online, shall be entertained at the Treasury Office, during the schedule indicated below. *Payment of business permit for Year 2021 shall be STRICTLY in accordance with these schedules. For business owners whose Family or Corporate name starts with the following:
January – A – H
February – I – P
March – Q – Z and those that start with numeric or special characters.
If a business owner fails to renew the business permit during the schedule, penalties, computed starting from January 1, 2021, shall be imposed.
Tagged permit, for whatever reason, shall be allowed to pay to avoid penalty but the permit shall not be released until untagged.
*Unlike the business tax, payment of real property tax will follow no schedule and thus will be open to all.
* Contractors with bidding scheduled for January/February/March, but are not scheduled to renew for said month shall be entertained during the bidding month, provided they show the Invitation to Bid which they intend to join.
*The issuance/payment of the following documents shall be done at the barangays and will no longer be entertained at City Hall: Community Tax Certificate or Cedula; Professional Tax Receipt; Police Clearance local and abroad (payment only); Working Permit (payment only); and Residential Garbage.
*Business permit processing will be done on separate venues depending on the transactions:
- BAGUIO CENTRAL SCHOOL COVERED COURT: Processing of applications for the following; new business, change of location, additional line of business, change of management, and establishments tagged in the eBPLS due to non-compliance/permits issues/violations.
- PERMITS AND LICENSING OFFICE: Renewal of business permit, retirement of business permit and special permit.
